When you ask Him to come on inside. He will forgive all your sin! Repent, and turn away from your sins. Ask Him into your heart to stay. Then He can always be with you. Every weary step of the way! Praise His name and do His will. He gives us eternal life that's sure. He fills our heart with joy divine, That's because His love is so pure! If you are a child of the living God, Then you are Heaven bound. If Jesus is the Lord of your life, No greater gift could you have found. If you are covered by His blood, Take time to thank the Lamb. ... When We Get There We know heaven's streets are made of pure gold. When we get there, We'll never grow old. But before we go, our faith will be tried. Some will find out, that satan has lied. He played his old tricks to make people stray. When he thought he'd won, they began to pray. They sang and they praised, they danced and they shouted. It brought down the glory, as God poured it out. The meaning of the story, we'll have to be on guard. When satan comes a knocking, he'll try to make it hard. But Jesus will be with us, He'll keep us free from sin. ... He Has Risen" He is not here; HE HAS RISEN, as He said" (Matthew 28: 6) The stalwart guards stood watch that day around a dead man's grave. The angel band drew near to praise and glorify their King. Give me a pillow That's filled with peace To rest my head upon, A garment of praise That's spun out of joy Is all that I would don. With blankets wove Of serenity To keep me warm as toast, Sweet slumber mine As I recline Secure in the Holy Ghost. O, give me a dreaming place Not made on earth, But fashioned up above. Then I can sleep In the hand of my Lord, In a bed That is made Of Love. -Connie" In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for Thou alone, O Lord, dost make me to dwell in safety" (Psalm 4: 8 NASB) [by: Connie Hinnen Cook (cjcook @mynewroads.com)-from Connie Hinnen Cook] Inspirational Poems SkyWriting.Net All Rights Reserved ...

... existence must displease You, Lord~if so, then let me die! I've no wish to be a Christian, I'm resigning, Lord, I'm through! And I'll give back my salvation if it's all the same to You !" Lightning she expected, sudden death at least, or more. But no sound broke through the blackness, save her heart's own deafening roar." Don't You hear me, God? I'm quitting! I can't live the life of praise! I'm a failure, Lord, a loser! This is where we two part ways !" Still no answer came from Heaven, though she wailed and sobbed and wept. When the sun's rays broke the darkness, in exhaustion then she slept. While she tossed and turned in restlessness, the Lord God sent a dream, Saying," Child, I'll not abandon you, no matter how you scream!" For I gave My Son to save you and He shed ...

... Over There Over there the lilies bloom forever and a day. The stars are just our steppingstones, our street, The Milky Way. Neighborhoods are always filled with joy and laughter shared. Hunger pangs are never felt for Father feeds us there. Over there the skies are bright and everyone lives free. Free from sickness, free from pain, free from tragedy. Over there all voices ring with joyous songs of praise, and celebrate eternally God's amazing grace. ... Goeth Before a Fall Overhead in gray repose, The raindrops wait. The darkness grows. Upon the earth, all presuppose, A storm is coming soon. But one progressive drop resisted," Why fall to earth, All blown and twisted?" We should fall up ," the drip insisted," And fall upon the moon" The thunder rumbled with delight," Up, you say? You may be right! If you attempt this noble flight, Your praises I'll convey !" The lightning flashed with brilliant grin," This sounds divine, Please count me in! I'll blaze your path when you begin, And gladly light your way !" The north and south winds intertwined," We'd like to help! If you're inclined, We'll blow upward from behind, And send you clear to Mars !" The raindrop swelled, his ego growing," I'm going to try! Who else is going? With all this fanfare, lights and ...

... God Chose Me You came to heal the broken-hearted, And to set the captives free. To release prisoners from the darkness, My sweet Jesus, I was all three. But by God's pleasure, He chose me. And for that, I praise His name. If He hadn't continued to seek me, I would have stayed in sin and shame. Your Spirit working to convict me, Saved my soul and set me free. For with my sinful human nature, I would never have looked for Thee. Eternity in Your presence, God gives all who come to You. We need only to believe and trust, What He promises, He will do. Oh, sweet Jesus, my sweet Jesus, All my sins You washed from me. And I know that You are waiting, Just beyond the Crystal Sea. My soul yearns to be with You, And from this sinful world be free. ... Precious Gold Whoever coined that popular phrase, Describing the Golden Years, Must have been really blessed, With few worries or fears. Yet those who suffer the most," Hang in there" through the years, We tolerate the pain and distress, And seldom submit to tears. As we grow older we get bolder, We don't give in to gloomy days. We try to see the sunny side, And for that we give God the praise. Our days may seem sad and dreary, But behind each dismal cloud, The sun is shining brightly, And old folks laugh aloud! We've all been tried and tested, Our faith is strong and true, And when we try to understand it all, God always sees us through! The gold in those golden years, Still shines for you and me. For Jesus is that precious Gold, And He is our only destiny! He gives us strength and purpose, His comfort's ...

... Perfect Arrangement I sat beside a rosebud Fragrant and full-blossomed Beside her sits an Iris Dog-eared, brilliant, awesome The church is full of flowers Each different and unique The view is most delightful Though a sight most fail to see If God made each a flower For the world to fix a gaze We would make a fine bouquet As we send up our praise God made each unrivaled In shade, design and sniff Yet I know there are times We treat each other as if. We ’ ve encountered stinkweed The stench, it does offend The color seems too gaudy Or far to dingy in the end But God made each bloom special Selecting color, scent and hue We are his full arrangement Made of him, her, me and you. You can lecture others About the wrong things they do, But before you look at others You need to look at you. You can call yourself a Christian Spend all your days at church, But while you are praising His name, Have you been doing the Lord's work? ... roots of plants reach deep in vain Lips are parched-in need of liquid As, in desperation, we watch for rain Faith clings steadfast to little The roots of hope reach deep once more Hearts are parched-in need of revival As we seek God's face like times before The hope of rain may disappoint The crops may refuse to yield Our faith may go though testing Our heart's a dry and dusty field We CAN grow in the desert We CAN sing songs of praise The God of harvest hasn't left us He chose a different crop to raise Are we willing, fertile soil? Are we ready for the seed? He may leave our hearts unplanted Until we recognize our need And in the end, perhaps we'll say As hope springs forth new trust If blessings seem a long way off" We have faith in the God of dust" For when nourished with Living Water In time there will be no doubt A new crop will thrive with our ...

... Mary's Arms Mary tenderly cradles her Son, In her arms she caresses Him, holding Him tight. The Newborn King safe and warm feels her heart beat, Soft and gentle next to His through the night. Its echo ’ s a rhythm of praise To the Child who coos At His Mother; No tears does He cry. In His swaddling clothes He peacefully sleeps While She hums and softly Sings lullabies. All the animals join them There by the fireside Its embers are glowing So golden and dim. Safe from harm at Her breast He's at peace in the manger, In the arms of the one That's been chosen for Him. Thoughts of Mother and Son Bring to mind a quaint legend. Of garland we hang each year On our bough, And our trees that we trim Be they pine gold or silver It's the legend behind them That unfolds for us now; Mary's arms wrapped around Her Sweet Baby Jesus, Jesus ' arms wrapped ...
