... A Wayward Son God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform; He plants His footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm. -William Cowper-Though her dear son was only 12, rebellion filled his heart, she tried to take him to her church but he would not take part. ... In Her Baby's Tiny Hands While pregnant with her Son Beneath her heart within, She'd often feel His hands Moving inside her skin. He'd stretch His arm and hand And push out on her side She'd lovingly push it back With a smile so sweet and wide. She could hardly wait For His upcoming birth To touch His tiny hands And welcome Him to Earth. Then it finally came, The night that He was born. With joy she couldn't contain, She held ... Heaven He'd hold. As the years flew swiftly by, She watched her Son with pride, His strong but gentle arms And hands there at His side. She then thought her life was over. She suffered unspeakable loss When her Son's beloved hands Were nailed to a wooden cross... But that was just the beginning. For He died and rose again. Her sorrow then was ended, And joy replaced her pain. For, you see, her Son was ...

... Your Son Please don't hold it against me. You know this is what was to be. If it happened that I wasn't the one, Someone else would have stole him, you see? You gave him the love that he needed When he was a baby, I know. And, I bet that you knew this would happen, As you watched your little boy grow. But, you know that you aren't alone. For, this happens to every boy's mother When the son, she so loves, turns into a man And gives his whole life to another. I'm the girl that your son has picked And he's asked me to be his wife. And, you see, I've said 'yes, ' because You know your son is my whole life. I know, as we walk down that aisle, They'll be tears falling down your face. But please try and remember this, I can never take your place. ...
... when people lived and died so quietly, And often times the funeral was just the family. No big event, no autopsy, no two or three day wake, No buffet table at the house for all who could partake. One day they viewed the body and then buried it real quick, They knew a body in the home might make the others sick. A little rural family back in nineteen twenty-one, Had four daughters growing up and then they had a son. At six months old the boy took sick, a fever raged for days, The only hope the doctor said is" if your family prays" Early the fourth morning as the family gathered round, The baby never woke that day; he never made a sound. With the words of the old doctor ringing in his head, The father knew if this should happen then his son was dead. As the tears began to flow with all the family grieving, The ...

And now it's time to punish him. but as I hesitate, I'm so confused and don't know how. to punish my young son. I only knew I must act then. and something must be done. ... was formed until that hand Commanded our planet to grow. The hands of the master reached down To form from the dust of the earth. Man in HIS image, formed from the dirt. And with a breath there was a birth. The hands or the master reached out into black And created each star in the sky. Molding the planets one by one. And placing them up so high. The hands of the master reached down once again To release HIS Son whom He was so proud And man took the Son of the Master. And handed him over to a maddened crowd. The hands of the Master reached slowly down And broke open the cold dark grave. And lifted the son from the rocky vault That attempted HIS Son to enslave. The hands of the Master would crush His creation Called man that had pierced Him so deep. But the Son of the Master said Father please no. I am the shepherd and I forgive ...
... Always My Son You are my son, a part of me, and that will never change, No matter what you do in life my love will still remain. I held you as a baby and I looked into your face, And I knew then, no other one could ever take your place. I knew then as I held you, you would grow to be a man, And anything you did in life I d try to understand. I knew you would make choices and would follow your own heart, I only prayed that in your life I d always have a part. I knew some things you did in life would give me so much pride, But also realized some things would tear me up inside. I only want the best for you and want you to succeed, And want you to find happiness with everything you need. I can only guide you and give you a helping hand, You ...

It is spotless" My son expressed doubt" Why, I washed and I scrubbed I shined and I cleaned. If the jar is polluted You ...

What did I do to deserve all this pain? Oh, when will I get back my freedom again ?" As he watched with envy a bird soar in the sky, God flashed him a message from heaven on high: He said," Son, you are free, just as free as that bird, If you trust in the promises of My precious WORD"" But they want me to say I committed the crime. If I but admit it, they'll shorten my time. But I cannot confess it.... Oh, how can I lie? Oh, how can I, God? I rather would die" God answered," Son, never succumb to a lie. ... A Mother s Letter to God Lord, hold me tight and guide my way. Give me the strength to face each day. My only son now lives with You. But life goes on; I must get through. My son would not want me to grieve, He knew himself it was time to leave. He fought the good fight; He won the race. And now at last, he s in a better place. His mortal body which was in such pain, Is now transformed and is whole again. Though I am feeling such despair, I know with You he s in good care. I miss him so and he s barely gone, But I know he s there beside Your throne. You were His Savior and very best friend. To You he was faithful until the end. I can almost see his sweet, sweet smile. For he always knew it would be worthwhile ...
... so much, but He is also totally just. His love and justice were in conflict, because holiness is a must. The Jews made many sacrifices to atone for their many sins. And God saw that the ultimate sacrifice would have to be made by Him. The Jews would bring animals, a spotless, perfect lamb, and God is the only one that's perfect, for He is the great" I am" So God the mighty Father asked His only son if He would make that sacrifice, if He would be the one. Jesus Christ is fully God, and also has full power. But He agreed to give all that up, and so they set the day and hour. God foretold of this coming through the Bible, His word. But when Jesus arrived here, that message wasn't heard. Only a handful believed that Jesus was who he claimed to be. And the multitude that did not sacrificed him on that ...
... Father. It Is Done The air hangs heavy, My heart stands still. They gather all around Me, And hasten for the kill. They tear My garments from Me Undraped and naked here I stand. While they prepare to crucify The bleeding Son of Man. Just last week I spoke of peace And everlasting love. Apparently to deafened ears And darkened skies above. It was just last night I prayed," Father, if the will be Thine, Take away this chalice. This bleeding cup of Mine. But yet, not as I will But as Thy will be done" And when pain shot through My heart, I knew My hour had come. A noisy crowd shatters the night, My heart begins to race. And then a traitor's lips, Plant a kiss upon My face. They scourged Me at a pillar, And whipped Me till I bled, But this was just a taste Of the agony ahead. ...
... Daddy's Son With a giggle and grin you greet me at the door, Your smile so sweet I could never ask for more. Not a care in the world does your little mind know, Just looking for the light of a fathers soul. Come on lets play, maybe throw me a ball, Catch some fish in the pond, or race cars in the hall. With a tear in my eye, I had to look away, Your mother's hand on my shoulder lay, She's whispering" daddy we'll be ok you must hurry now or you'll be late, You only have two hours to be at the gate" You look at me and say" daddy you don't have to go, Just tell them this is my Birthday and I said no" You're a big boy now, five you turned today, you have to understand that I can not stay. You say ok and walk down the hall, Come back with ...
... had ten tiny fingers and such cute little toes; pink, rosy cheeks, and a sweet little nose. An innocent babe, such a delight to behold, yet the coming of this child had long been foretold. For He was the Messiah, the Redeemer of man, conceived through the Spirit; part of God's plan. Years passed and He grew, then in love He reached out. The miracles He worked should have left little doubt That this was God's Son, no ordinary man He, sent forth to deliver, to pardon, set free. He spoke of new life; and showed others the way to be granted forgiveness; receive salvation that day. But many were deaf to the truth of God's Word. They had ears to listen yet their hearts never heard. His ministry on earth brought Him not man's esteem, for many would reject that their souls He'd redeem. Still He gave up His life; bore man's guilt ...
... The Trial Of Jesus After the blind were healed, and the crippled did walk, Some men were jealous, and then there was talk. This man, Jesus, the reason for fame? The Son of God? What an outrageous claim! He's just a man, watch him and know. It's blasphemy, that's what! Arrest him! Now! Go! Thirty pieces of silver bought Jesus that day. Betrayed by a kiss, they took Him away! They tried Him, they thought they had it down pat! But some said He did this, others said He did that! They finally agreed, they said with a nod. He blasphemed when He said, He's the Son of God! The custom of the day was to set someone free. Pilate said," This Jesus, is who it should be !" The people said," No, release Barabbas to us !" They kept on until they raised quite ...
... Gospel in a Nutshell" For God so loved the world" My friend, that one verse tells you why. Why the Father sent His only Son Down to this earth to die." God gave His only begotten Son" And in His endless grace, Christ nailed your sins upon that cross And He died in your place. So now if you'll believe in Him You'll never have to die, And He'll give you unending life In that sweet bye-and-bye." For God so loved the world ," my friend, That Christ died on that tree~And if you'll give Him all your heart He'll set your spirit free! -Connie-" For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3: 16 KJV) [by: Connie Hinnen Cook (cjcook @mynewroads.com)-from Connie Hinnen Cook] Inspirational Poems SkyWriting.Net All Rights ...
... The Sands Of Christmas I had no Christmas spirit when I breathed a weary sigh, and looked across the table where the bills were piled too high. The laundry wasn't finished and the car I had to fix, My stocks were down another point, the Chargers lost by six. And so with only minutes till my son got home from school I gave up on the drudgery and grabbed a wooden stool. The burdens that I carried were about all I could take, and so I flipped the TV on to catch a little break. I came upon a desert scene in shades of tan and rust, No snowflakes hung upon the wind, just clouds of swirling dust. And where the reindeer should have stood before a laden sleigh, eight Humvees ran a column right behind an M1A. A group of boys walked past the tank, not one was past his teens, Their eyes were hard as polished flint, their faces drawn and ...
... Heavenly Reunion She stands at the gate in all her glory, Waiting for her firstborn son. The angels are bringing him home to heaven; His journey on earth at last is done. She carefully looks at each new arrival, Hoping to see his familiar face. She" feels" his presence as he's ushered forward; They greet each other with an embrace." It's been too long, Son, since I've seen you-With our health failing in the final years; But here in heaven it's just as promised-There's no illness, sorrow, pain or tears"" I have only been here for a moment. Or maybe it just seems that way. It's hard to tell when you live in heaven, Where a thousand years seems like a day"" Let me show you around this beautiful city !" He looks at her and gives a nod." There's lots to do while we wait for the others. ...
... A Gift Of Love" For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life" John 3: 16. The heart of the Father looked down on fallen man, He saw the result of sin in his beautiful creation, So tenderly with love He knew salvation's plan, He would send His only Son to save every tribe and Nation. Within the fullness of time Jesus came as God's only Son, Conceived by the Holy Spirit from above, He alone could take away sin and bring men back to God again; He would be our Savior, the perfect Lamb of God sent in love. He walked among men, saved, delivered, and healed; There was no other greater than He, His grace He freely gave and salvation revealed, His love was the greatest as He died on Calvary's tree. The power of the cross still saves ...
... Once Upon A Pew I Sat Once upon a pew I sat And heard the preacher ask," We need someone to teach a class, Now who will take this task ?" Then God sat down beside me there And said," Son, that's for you"" But, Lord, to stand before a class Is one thing I can't do. Now Bill would be the man to call, There's nothing he won't do. I'd rather hear the lesson taught From here upon my pew" Once upon a pew I sat And heard the preacher ask," We need someone to lead the songs, Now who will take this task ?" Then God sat down beside me there And said," Son, that's for you"" But Lord, to sing before a crowd Is one thing I can't do. Now Brother King will do the job, There's nothing he won't do. I'd rather hear the music played From here upon ...
... The God-Man The blood of God the Son was shed On Calvary s cruel tree; His form was marred beyond belief For all the world to see; He was mocked by wicked men In utmost degradation, Who rejected, slandered, conspired and lied To malign his reputation. A crown of thorns caused blood to course In streams upon his face And mingled with the sweat and tears Shed for the depraved human race. His flesh was torn and mangled in furrowed bloody strips His visage robbed of human form by barbaric torturous whips. He could have summoned all heavens power To put the travesty to an end; Exhault Him on His rightful throne leaving mankind dead in sin. But as the Lamb He bore the sin, of all the souls of man To satisfy the Holiness of the Father in His eternal plan. He saw the travail of His soul And He was satisfied with His redemption of mankind, As on the cross He died. ...
... Misunderstood (Knowing God) It amazes me that a God so good Is by many, so easily misunderstood I think it's because we don't take the time To learn that He is truly Divine When we bring Him down to our level of humanity We mistakenly underestimate His level of Sanctity He is a stand-alone God, Perfect and Unique But, not a cold transcendent being covered in mystique A loving Father who gave His only Son To die for us so our salvation could be won He is matchless in every way beyond compare Yet, He broke Himself into pieces so we could have a share He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit A Trinity created to help us merit All the riches in glory His Son has won To share with all believers when our life is done I ask you please, take a second look At this awesome God whom you mistook Let the warmth of His love set you on fire Til His will for you becomes your ...

... folk, Came the owner, who gave them hope; The Father came to promise His children, Salvation cried upon the horizon, For those who welcomed His holy plan, The Father welcomes the righteous man; O Bethlehem, that holy place, A saviour born, how bright His face, The mother Mary, espoused to the Father, Gave birth to the first born; Jesus, rather; Tearful love our God has shown, For He did give, His Son, His own, On a cross was Jesus slain, To bear the sin by means of pain; For this my heart burns bright with love, Soaring high just like a dove, To Father, Son, let glory be, And Holy Ghost Eternally; With open arms, a smiling face, The Father welcomes the human race, The veil is gone, our eyes are open, The answer has come to all our hoping;~Br. ... Fearfully and Wonderfully Made God gave us eyes that we might see, the things He created for you and me. I'm in awe of what He's done, by the spoken Word of His Son. I have ears to hear what God is saying, He hears my heart when I am praying. I have faith by the hearing of the ear, trusting in God without fear. My mouth is made to speak God's Word, telling the news till all have heard, It's not fair that I should know, and not tell others where they can go. My heart goes out to those in need, This world is filled with sin and greed. With my heart I love my Savior, it was His love that gave me favor. I have hands to help my brother and sister, help me Lord to be a good listener. I lift my hands to praise my Father, While with others, it's a bother. How ...

... Mary's Arms Mary tenderly cradles her Son, In her arms she caresses Him, holding Him tight. The Newborn King safe and warm feels her heart beat, Soft and gentle next to His through the night. Its echo s a rhythm of praise To the Child who coos At His Mother; No tears does He cry. In His swaddling clothes He peacefully sleeps While She hums and softly Sings lullabies. All the animals join them There by the fireside Its embers are glowing So golden and dim. Safe from harm at Her breast He's at peace in the manger, In the arms of the one That's been chosen for Him. Thoughts of Mother and Son Bring to mind a quaint legend. Of garland we hang each year On our bough, And our trees that we trim Be they pine gold or silver It's the legend behind them That unfolds for us now; Mary's arms wrapped around Her Sweet Baby Jesus, Jesus ' arms wrapped ...
... angel, On a cloud in heaven above; Who spent the ages peacefully dreaming, Of God's eternal love. She thought of her heavenly palace, With walls of glitter and pearls; She thought of all God's creation, The harmony of the worlds. She thought of all creation, So perfect and divine; She thought of joyful pleasures, And her Father's love so kind. She thought of heavenly music, The strains she loved to hear; She thought of God's son Jesus, Whose love she held so dear. She thought of time eternal, Passing ages in endless stream; In a place of joy and beauty, Beyond man's wildest dreams. And she thought of those still living, Awaiting the joyous day; To be taken into Heaven, And all things earthly pass away. What's this? A trumpet sounds? Has the day of judgement come? No one except the Father, Knew the time of return of the Son. Now ...
... , By breaking the enemy's hold. The one true God created all, And He loves each one the same. He desires to draw you to Him, But you must call upon the name. The name above all other names, Is Jesus Christ, the Lord. He fulfilled the plan of salvation, With eternal life as your reward. But the Sovereign God is Holy. And all were born into sin. In order to enter His presence, Only the Son can usher you in. For Jesus is the only name, You can call on for salvation. God does not want to lose you, So respond to His invitation. Just call on the name of Jesus. Ask Him to change your heart. He's willing to forgive your every sin. And He offers a fresh new start. All your burdens of guilt and sin, He endured upon the cross. If not for His loving sacrifice, You'd still be condemned and ...
... The Empty Tomb One day two thousand years ago, God proved His love for man. Because the tomb was empty, He accomplished His salvation plan. God sacrificed His only Son, For mankind as a whole. To re-establish fellowship, With the creation He gave a soul. Jesus became our sins that day, And God poured out His wrath. He loved the fallen world so much, He had to provide a path. A path which leads to the Father, And that path became His Son. The cross became the symbol, By which mankind could be won. Jesus suffered much and tasted death, That Friday long ago. But as He breathed His last, He said," Forgive them, they don t know" The third day, the tomb was empty. Jesus body was not to be found. The grave did not gain victory, For our Savior could not be bound! Praise God, the ...
... He Won't Remember Some people joke about God and His Son, they laugh and mock and wag their tongue. They think it's cool to make fun this way, not knowing there'll be a judgement day. Yes time will tell who belongs to Him, God needs some workers whose light is not dim, to let the mockers know that He loves them still, He'd save their soul and give them a thrill. Father God is not out to hurt any one, like a thief and a murderer who shoots to kill with his gun, What he wants to do is love you so much, that you can't live without His touch. Once they have tasted and see He's so good, He'll change their lives, they'll live like they should, Their hearts and minds will be different then, they'll turn their backs away from sin. The God they once mocked, and joked about, becomes their best friend without a doubt, now ...
... I've Got Your Back I am a small and precious child, my dads been sent to fight. The only place I'll see his face, is in my dreams at night. He will be gone too many days for my young mind to keep track. I may be sad, but I am proud. My daddy's got your back. I am a caring mother. My son has gone to war. My mind is filled with worries that I have never known before. Everyday I try to keep my thoughts from turning black. I may be scared, but I am proud. My son has got your back. I am a strong and loving wife, with a husband soon to go. There are times I'm terrified in a way most never know. I bite my lip, and force a smile as I watch my husband pack. ... I think I might go home again And ask my father for a job; He might not take that kindly, After all I have been a snob. His servants have life better Than I have had of late. (I rearranged my tattered rags And headed out the gate) After many a weary mile Walking on swollen feet My belly calling urgently Wanting something soon to eat. I see my father standing There upon the lawn As though he is awaiting His errant son come home. I guess I should have known That he would do his part Though my actions were selfish His is a father s loving heart. I feel only my own shame As I see him standing there His eyes upon the road And in his heart a prayer." My son at last returns, What more could I desire" I see it in his face It sets my soul on fire. I don t deserve his blessing But He has forgiven ...
... How Would You Feel? What would you do? What would you say? If Jesus stood before you, on this Easter Day? What would you think? How would you feel? If you saw Him rise from the dead, would you then believe He's real? What did you think, those people long ago, thought as they saw the Son, in Heaven's glow? How do you think they felt at the sight, of the resurrected Lord, after He suffered His plight? How would you feel, if you were the one, who rolled back the stone, for God's only Son? And found Him not there. How could this be? His promise was true; He died, for you and me! Step back in time, on this Easter Day. How do you feel? Can you see the way? The Lord of Lords has risen! ... My Pride and Joy I'm proud to be and American, and proud to be God's child. I will be thankful always, that He sent His Son, so meek and mild! He gave Himself, as a ransom. He knew just what was best. Now He takes our sins and throws them, As far as the East is from the West! All you must do is be sorry. Ask Jesus to take your sins away. Tell Him you want to live for God. Then read your Bible every day! The Son is now my Savior. He saved me from my sin. Now He is always with me, I'm so glad I asked Him in! ... A Christmas Lesson Did Mary feel embarassed when the shepherds came to call? Did she wish they'd found a nicer place instead of lowly stall? Was she yearning for a perfumed bath, someone to plait her hair? Did she wish her Son a finer bed with soft, warm blankets there? Or did joy fill her grateful heart and overflow with awe, Remembering the angel's words and what her eyes now saw. For in her spirit Mary knew this Son whom she adored Was God's begotten Chosen One, her Saviour and her Lord! So, Mary murmured not at all, no palace was more grand~The King of kings was ushered in exactly as God planned. ... Dear Mothers I raised Him as a good boy, taught Him well all through his life, I tried to do the best I could as a mother and a wife. His step-dad was a good man, taught Him well in every way, And treated Him as his own son until His dying day. He always was a good boy never even raised His voice, Except on some occasions when He really had no choice. He treated people kindly; treated everybody fair, And if somebody had a problem, He would really care. People always listened to the words He had to say, And they would stay and listen even late into the day. Everybody loved Him from the rich to down and out, But there were some who did not want Him going all about. ... O Death, Where Is Your Sting? Mary, mother of Jesus, knew the agony of the loss of that Son as she watched Him beaten and crucified on the cross. He was God suffering as a man, but she was a mother suffering as any mother would over the death of her Son. She was devestated with grief as she took Him down from the cross and prepared Him for the grave. Her grief was intense for three days and nights. When she learned that He had risen from the dead her grief was swallowed up by rejoicing over His triumph. Her feelings of grief were over and she rejoiced, for He was alive evermore. The same should be true for each of us as we lose a loved one. The pain and mourning should be brief as we realize our loved one has also arisen and gone to be with God in Heaven, nevermore to die. Alive forever! What a wonderful thing. ...
... A Mother's Special Love Our Heavenly Father could have sent His Son with angels bright; God could have sent Him fully grown To save man from his plight. But He who is all wisdom Chose to place in hands of love The future of the universe, The glory of above. He knew there was no other love On earth which could compare To the unique devotion Of a mother's special care. So deep His trust in this rare love, His faith in it so sure; He gave a mother His own Son, Entrusting Him to her. Watching him perform miracles day after day until each day was done. Witnessing to sinners, turning water into wine, making blind men see. As I have imagined throughout my life about adventures with Thee. As I walked with them each day my faith became so strong. I learned more about HIS love and what was right and wrong. Easter bonnets, bunnies and fuzzy chicks, and hunting the eggs are fun, but we really must remember, what happened to God's only Son. Jesus, God's Son came to Earth. Born to a virgin and lay in a manger. Wise men came from far away, They wanted to see this little Stranger! This little Boy grew up and then, He performed great miracles they say. God's Bible tells us all about Him. And what happened to Him that day. He had done nothing wrong, only good. Yet they hung Him on Calvary's Cross. He died there and then in three days He arose, So we would not suffer loss! His shed blood that day on the cross, washed away our sins for good. All we must do is repent ...

I think about the beauty in the glowing morning sun, And on this Easter morning think about the other son. He came into this world to bring the peace that it so needed, But when he left so many times his words were left unheeded. Without Your love and Your gift of grace, there would be no hope for the human race. You planned this long before creation began. It was the most wonderful part of your plan. You knew man would be a sinful creature. You sent Your Son to become man s teacher. He was the sacrifice for Your gift of salvation, offered first to Your chosen, then the Gentile nations. He was a simple man and He lived a sinless life. Not unlike us, He faced rejection and strife. He was gentle and kind and was a humble soul. His earthly life fulfilled all prophecies foretold. He cured the sick and gave sight to the blind. He cast out demons from tormented minds. He cleansed ...

... What's Christmas About? It's not about when Santa comes. It's not about candies and sugarplums. It's about the belief in the birth of a heavenly babe. Which will bring us eternal life, once we are saved. It's not about getting the latest trend, toy or game. It's about knowing the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, are the same. It's not about the biggest tree or the brightest lights. It's about faith in His word that will keep us on a path that's right. It's not about the amount of money we've spent. It's about the heavy load, on us, that causes His back to be bent. It's about the ultimate sacrifice, in the name of love. A man, once sent to us, as a messenger from above. A man, once sent to us, to save us from our sins. Always offering a way to live and to begin again. Maybe, Happy Birthday ...

And said ," Their sins have been washed away" I fell to my knees and I worshiped; List'ning to music so stirring, moved. Grateful for love, sent from the dove; Surrounded by peace, I felt soothed. My dreamed stamped my heart with its memory; God loves fallen men in their sin. For God sent His Son, in love this was done; To have a relationship, with Him. Your prayers to Him are like diamonds. We seldom find the real answer, Until our hearts cry out to God, What did I do to deserve this? Why is life so roughshod? When we believe in Jesus, And know the battle that He won, We have hope in our sorrow, As we grow to love God's Holy Son. And as we start to trust Him, We forgive like we are supposed to do, And we learn to love again, As we inch our problems through. Some have many children, some have only one, But each mother gave life to a daughter or son. You may feel neglected and you may be, it's true, But at least for today we want to thank you. You not only gave birth but you guided and led, And you saw that your children were clothed and were fed. 165. Inspirational and Christian POEMS -- Be Glad - Don't Be Sad (death, Christmas, loss, loved one). [Poems]
... Be Glad-Don't Be Sad Once again Christmas time is here, A time when you pull your family near. We will sing songs of cheer and joy, And thank God for his baby boy. What a gift, Jesus Christ his son, How He changed the world with all He's done. He said just believe and you will see, How wonderful your life will be. So this time of year the cheer will flow, All the joy will have everyone a glow. But sometimes it's hard to feel the cheer, When you've lost someone you love so dear. Losing that love one hurt so bad, In this season it's hard to be glad. With your family together sometimes it's found, That you catch yourself just looking around. Even though you're in a familiar place, You know what's missing, a special face. But with your family there is much love, And you know they're watching from above. Jesus ...

Handfuls of purpose, a little man up a tree, when Jesus saw him, he said, Zacchaeus, It's time for tea. Handfuls of purpose, I sure needed a friend, He knocked on my door, I was happy to let Him in. Handfuls of purpose, God sent His only Son, He died to save us from sin, He died for everyone. ... After The Storm Thunder crashes, storm clouds rage, Lightening fires the air; Troubles fall like big hail stones, Bringing pain and deep despair. Clouds as black as night, Their demon throngs release; Doomed I seem to be 'ere this storm should ever cease. I seek a place of sheltered rest In God's true and living Word; Balm to quiet my spirit As rumbling threats are heard. Then suddenly the Son shines through, Bestowing quiet and peace; He makes the avalanche seem small, My shelter lined with fleece. I see the brilliant rainbow, Reflection of His tender care; And know that throughout the storm He was standing, guarding there. Then I knew the raging storm Was stirred up just for me; To teach me faith and patience As I walk o'er the troubled sea. 175. Inspirational and Christian POEMS -- Master Plan. [Poems]
... Master Plan I formed a master plan for life In the green year's dawning glow, Not comprehending naively The truth I could not know. I only planned for happy hours, I sketched in sunny days, On my horizon not a cloud Presaged the storm God's ways. I left no place, no room at all, For grief could not foresee, That pain and loss were down the way, Just waiting there for me. I could not know my firstborn son Would have a stay so brief, And leave behind an emptiness Akin to a fallen leaf. I hadn't left space for loss, I only planned for gain, But I expected rainbows, Though unprepared for rain. My plan was aimed for large success, No page contained defeat. Then they nailed Him to the cross, for all of mankind it was a great loss. The sky grew black in the middle of the day, everyone fell on their knees to pray. For now all knew He was God's Son, and what an awful thing they had done. His Disciples were all very sad, because He was the best friend that they had.
