A Conversation

I heard her ask, "Does God really care what happens to you and me?
The population explosion makes life for some a real misery!

Millions are starving for lack of love and food, for a place to lay
their heads... not able to survive the way they should!

They say there's all kinds of help available, but there never seems enough...
Does God really care that for some life is very tough?

Where is this God of the Nations? Where is His tender care?"
We all ask ourselves these questions, when we come to Him in prayer.

Only He knows all the answers. Life for some is hard and bare...
They've lived without true faith, and God cannot share!

Our missionaries travel around the world, trying to spread the Good News...
Sometimes they are stopped and even hurt, for teaching Godly views!

Yet His Word does go forth, around this rebellious globe...
There are pockets of real truth reaching into humble abodes.

But even in places of promise, God's enemies are everywhere...
closing doors to freedom and opening windows to despair!

One on one, with love and mercy, we can plant a fertile seed...
That will grow within a yearning soul, where there is so much need.

Yes! Our God still reigns! His love and forgiveness is everywhere...
But we must believe and trust in Him, to know His Presence there!

(This is based on a conversation between two ladies)

It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry.  I am a "Golden Ager" shut-in and writing keeps my mind busy with something I've done ever since I was a child, and it's my way of sharing our LORD with who ever comes to visit.  Thanks for reading my poetry - I'd love to hear your comments.  May God richly bless you.  Send emails to:   EvaYoung @ SkyWriting.Net
