A Lamp Unto My Feet
It's a bright Sunday morning,
And I'm a 'shut-in...
But only in this earthly shell,
My spirit just took wing!
I bow down before thee, Lord,
With a smile upon my face...
"Your Word is a lamp unto my feet"
I've found your loving grace!
I've heard your Holy Spirit whisper,
As He quides me through each new day...
Through shadows in dim valleys,
He convinces me not to stray away!
Sometimes I am lonely, Lord,
But when I concentrate on You,
I know the wonder of your peace,
And darkness turns to radiant blue!
Sometimes a hear a robin sing,
Or watch a gray squirrel play...
And I thank you for these special gifts,
That brightens up my day.
Faith makes the difference,
As we struggle on our way...
Belief in a hallowed Savior,
Has saved many a rainy day!
Because I am convinced, Lord,
Your Word is tried and true...
And Jesus walks beside me,
His message... "I love you!"
It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry. I am a "Golden Ager" shut-in and writing keeps my mind busy with something I've done ever since I was a child, and it's my way of sharing our LORD with who ever comes to visit. Thanks for reading my poetry - I'd love to hear your comments. May God richly bless you. Send emails to: EvaYoung @ SkyWriting.Net
