A Walk With The LordNine below zero isn't bad at all when the warmth of God's love is in one's heart.
The air is so crisp and so clean; So, I took a walk with my dog, The feeling was really quite keen. Not a soul out at four AM, As we walked the snow covered road; Looked up at the sky and the stars, I felt all my burdens unload. I stopped to say a short prayer, Thanked God for life's little blessings; Felt all His love run through my veins, Thanked Him for all of His lessons. I asked Him to give me more strength, As I start to walk a new trail; Said I'd give Him one hundred percent, Asked if He would help me not fail. The stars all seemed to get brighter, As if angels had heard my plea; Thank You Lord, for Your loving ways, I thank You for caring for me. I promised God I'd do my best, I promised to follow His lead; To help others along the trails, To be right there for those in need. The frigid air began to stir, Warming me right down to my heart; The moon came from behind a cloud, Promising me a bright new start. I said, Lord, I'll not let You down, I'll use all Your blessings wisely; I'll try to walk as Jesus did, And always love You faithfully. Then my Luv and I went inside, Ready to start a bright new day; Knowing that God had been with us, As He helped to show us The Way.
