Large clouds over the town.

Clouds

Have you seen the misty clouds
That roll in on a winter day?
They bring the rain that waters soil
So flowers may bloom in May.

Have you ever watched a cumulus cloud
As it boils up in the sky,
On an April day with a hint of spring
On its snowy cap on high?

Do you love the speckled buttermilk clouds
That dapple the summer sky?
The heat waves rise from the browning hills
As jet trails streak on by?

Fall brings a different kind of cloud--
Gray with a hint of rain,
To foretell the storms that soon will come
To start all over again.

The year is a cycle marked by clouds,
Each in its special way,
To tell the seasons and what to expect
And to live with it, come what may.
