At the start of every day
Take a moment to say
A greeting to god with prayer
As your thoughts are filled with love
As you praise him above
For his fatherly wayful care
Through all of the hours
Through sunshine or showers
Through smiles and every tear
In all that you do
He will stay close to you
Doubling joys and dissolving fears
And when the day's athrough
As you stop to review
Each blessing and every event
Thank god with a prayer
For his love and care
All your day will end wonderfully spent.
