Final Decision

Day by day the time slides by,
And we all have decisions to make,
Life's road is far from perfect,
Decisions may bring heartache.

However young or old we may be,
Our world is never free,
From the toils and woes of progress,
As right from wrong we try to see.

How do we find the right answers,
To all the questions we raise?,
It may not sound so simple,
As we try to shift our gaze.

When we start leaving self behind,
And call upon our Father above,
Soon we will begin to understand,
What Christians call 'real love'.

He has all the right answers,
As we get to know Him day by day,
And our decisions will be easier,
As He leads through mirey clay

How sweet will be the morning,
When we finally understand,
God is our gracious Master,
Who holds us in His loving hand.

And as the days slip slowly by,
And the years roll steadily away,
Our decisions will be ever better,
Because we took the time to pray.

When we give it all to the Lord,
We are finally set free,
We've made our final decision,
Now we can live peacefully!

It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry.  I am a "Golden Ager" shut-in and writing keeps my mind busy with something I've done ever since I was a child, and it's my way of sharing our LORD with who ever comes to visit.  Thanks for reading my poetry - I'd love to hear your comments.  May God richly bless you.  Send emails to:   EvaYoung @ SkyWriting.Net
