For Heavens Sake

As the dark night descends
My space becomes smaller
The receding light has diminished me
All is stillness and I am waiting

The heart has made it's amends
The night will not impede the caller
What is the message to be
Will the light return illuminating

To hear His voice one must in mind ascend
There is no entrance to the holy places
Until trust has become faiths friend
To heavenly realms of angelic faces

Yet guidance is not hesitant, but sure
When the circumcised heart is being squeezed
The best is saved until one falls before
The Throne of Grace upon ones thankful knees.

Soon daylight will appear and darkness fade
Your senses filled with dreams can hardly wake
The day will have it's choices to be made
And you will do your best for heavens sake.
