Sometimes I hear, "I love you"
But there's few signs it's true,
Everyone is so busy,
There's no time for you.
But then there comes an occasion.
The words ring true and clear,
"I love you" means a blessing.
And someone's help is near!
They scrub an unseemly bathroom,
Or mop a kitchen floor...
Or do the weekly laundry,
That we're unable to do anymore.
They give without hesitation,
From a warm and loving heart,
And it's the kind of situation,
That helps a gloomy life to a new start.
Thank God for these special gifts,
That enfold us along our way...
And constantly be thankful,
For those who take the time to pray.
Life can be worth the living,
Where warm love goes around...
These are God's special angels
Who walk on holy ground.
One day we may be able to pay back,
To give someone a new lift...
Like springtime and robins,
We, too, can be a special gift.
True love is a real treasure,
Sent aloft on heavenly wings...
It touches hearts from the very humble,
To the thrones of honored kings.
It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry. I am a "Golden Ager" shut-in and writing keeps my mind busy with something I've done ever since I was a child, and it's my way of sharing our LORD with who ever comes to visit. Thanks for reading my poetry - I'd love to hear your comments. May God richly bless you. Send emails to: EvaYoung @ SkyWriting.Net
