Golden Sunbeams

When life becomes a burden, and we don't know where to turn...
A friend will bring some comfort, and help with our concern.


It may be a surprise visit, or a good deed that will suffice...
A hug, a smile, some encouragement, even some much needed advice.


Grief and sorrow tests everyone, be it young or the very old...
But when we talk with Jesus, we'll see His love enfold.


He works His healing power, in many different ways...
but He will always stay near us, as we work through the difficult days.


Good friends are like golden sunbeams, shining through the darkest mist...
They are God's special angels, who change us into shining optimists.


So, praise God for His mercy, praise Him for friends who bestow...
Their tender healing love, that sets aching hearts aglow.

It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry.  I am a "Golden Ager" shut-in and writing keeps my mind busy with something I've done ever since I was a child, and it's my way of sharing our LORD with who ever comes to visit.  Thanks for reading my poetry - I'd love to hear your comments.  May God richly bless you.  Send emails to:   EvaYoung @ SkyWriting.Net
