My heart is filled with gratitude
for God's gifts in my life.
They've brought joy to me in happy times
and grieved with me in strife.
When I look upon the faces
of those I know and love.
I say a grateful Thank You
to you, Lord, up above.
I learned in the beginning
when my faith was still brand new,
whenever doubts would fill my mind
that I could turn to you.
And through those prayers, you earned my trust,
and now I have no fear.
The path for me is now well lit;
I can see Heaven from here.
