Sometimes things happen in our lives,
Over which we have no control...
Things that cause worry and pain,
Things that defeat our plans and goal.
We seldom find the real answer,
Until our hearts cry out to God,
What did I do to deserve this?
Why is life so roughshod?
When we believe in Jesus,
And know the battle that He won,
We have hope in our sorrow,
As we grow to love God's Holy Son.
And as we start to trust Him,
We forgive like we are supposed to do,
And we learn to love again,
As we inch our problems through.
God provides the green pastures,
And lights our dark valleys, too,
And we walk beside still waters,
Which changes our former view.
We start remembering little things,
While we traveled in the dark,
The fragrance of Natures bouquet,
The trees and flowers in the park.
He gave us little gifts along the way,
And told us to stop awhile and rest,
And as we listened and obeyed,
We were truly blest.
And as we looked behind us,
God's love was unveiled,
Now we are looking forward,
To eternity's precious, sunny vale.

It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry. I am a "Golden Ager" shut-in and writing keeps my mind busy with something I've done ever since I was a child, and it's my way of sharing our LORD with who ever comes to visit. Thanks for reading my poetry - I'd love to hear your comments. May God richly bless you. Send emails to: EvaYoung @ SkyWriting.Net
