Happy-Go-Lucky Day

I'm happy-go-lucky;
The reason's not clear.
It could be the weather
Or time of the year.

It might be the things
That have happened today
Like getting to work
Without a delay.

Or it could be the things
That didn't go wrong
Like getting my Starbucks
And not waiting for long.

The reason for this
Might quite simply be
That I woke up and prayed
And God filled me with glee.

So I pass on the joy
And some tips for you:
Give God the glory
In whatever you do.

Smile at strangers
As you walk by
And don't even care
If they all wonder why.

Breath some fresh air,
Work with delight,
Laugh at mistakes,
Sing loudly at night!

Run up the stairs,
Skip in the rain.
Smile in the mirror,
Try to keep sane.

You'll be happy-go-lucky.
The reason won't be clear.
It could be the weather
Or time of the year.

But no matter the reason
Whatever it be
Pray to God in the morning
And He'll fill you with glee!
