What is the meaning of life? I ponder.
Is it something I'll learn, or must I always wonder?
Can it be like a movie where I'll play a role?
Is it out in the open, or deep in my soul?
Perhaps it's a mystery, with only one clue,
That is sought by many but solved by few.
Will I stumble upon it when I'm deep in thought?
Will the answer be found in a book that I've bought?
Is it deduced by logic and step-by step rules?
Is it mastered by genius or stumbled on by fools?
Is it sought by all, or by only a few?
Could I have forgotten that I already knew?
The proof's in the pudding. I heard someone say,
So til I am certain, I'll be on my way;
Seeking and searching and hoping I'll find
The answers to questions that fill up my mind.
