If You Knew My Jesus

If you knew my Jesus,
You wouldn't hate your neighbor
For the color of his skin.
If you knew my Jesus,
You'd love the sinner,
But hate the sin.
If you knew my Jesus,
Riches would be meaningless,
Because God always provides.
If you knew my Jesus,
You would never take sides.
If you knew my Jesus,
A church would only be
A place of prayer.
If you knew my Jesus,
You could pray even in
The open air.
If you knew my Jesus,
You'd be in love with everyone.
If you knew my Jesus,
All wars would be done.
For you see my Jesus
Is a God of love,
And while we struggle with life,
He always watches from above.
And when things seem darkest,
We need only to pray,
Because my Jesus listens
Each and every day.
