Let Me Bend

Lord, let me bend to gather fragrant wildflowers or

touch the waters of a cool mountain stream.

Let me bend to comfort the smallest child

or to hug someone who cannot stand.

Let me bend in my thinking

so I will never become judgemental.

Let me bend away from anger and hate,

and towards forgiveness and love.

Lord, in this busy, hectic and sometimes chaotic life,

Let me bend just enough....

to keep from breaking.
