My Pathway

I was walking in miserable darkness,
Trying to find my way...
When there came a light from above,
As I knelt down to pray.

Jesus came and took away the agony,
of loneliness and fear...
He spoke quietly to my heart,
"Don't worry, my child! I am here!"

I felt a shaft of light,
blaze deeply within...
And I knew instantly,
I'd been set free from my sin.

What joy bubbled within my heart,
Someone really loved me at last!...
Now I could live for the future,
And forget my sorry past!

Now I see my pathway clearly,
There's no room for envy or hate...
Only sunshine in all my troubles,
As with Christ I affiliate!

I've been rescued from the old life,
My future has been fortold...
And as God is my Royal Witness,
Jesus' love continues to unfold!

I thank you, Holy Father,
For opening the way...
To that mansion up in heaven,
where serenity inspires every day!
