Oh What A Day!

Oh what a day
The day my soul was saved
I asked God for forgiveness
And thats exactly what He gave

I felt the need to go to the altar
And Im oh so glad I did
Now I can sit in Heaven with Jesus
Where eternally I can live

A burden was lifted off my shoulder
That I carried around for years
Now I only know happiness
Happiness took the place of fear

Jesus reached down and touched me
And mended my broken heart
Then softly whispered to me
We will never again be apart

Now the only tears in my eyes
Are real tears of joy
Because I walk holding Jesus' hand
Where I will forever live in glory

Oh what a day
The day my soul was saved
I ask God for forgiveness
And thats exactly what He gave
