"Ol' Sneaky Snake"

There once was a sneaky snake.
He was out to deceive,
I found out in the Bible,
It was Adam and Eve.

It's so strange that a snake talked,
and could even stand up,
make someone disobey God,
with the fruit they gulped.

He tricked Eve into taking a bite,
to turn her away from God,
She wanted Adam to taste it,
So "sneaky" gave him a nod.

Their eyes were opened wide,
to things they never knew,
they were wondering, now what,
what in the world will we do?

They were naked and ashamed.
and found somewhere to hide,
they knew that they'd done wrong,
could feel it way down inside.

They found some leaves close by,
and as they began to sew,
They'd never done a thing like this,
so fear began to grow.

God was looking for Adam and Eve,
but knew where they were at,
He came calling out their names,
and behind the tree they sat.

God said to Adam who told you,
that you were naked without clothes,
have you eaten of that tree I forbade,
they both said together, God Knows.

Adam and Eve they began to blame,
one then the other even ol' "sneaky"
God told them every one their lot,
how they had to live He did speak it.
