Patriots, Rise

What I want is to be free
To live the dream they bought for me
With blood and tears and sacrifice
They knew the risk; yet paid the price.

It's in their shadow I must stand
And fight, like them, for this great land.
For all the ones who've gone before;
Heroes true, and not mere lore.

A spark, now lit, becomes a flame;
I must stand tall and call your name
And from the dark, each voice must rise
Until, as one, they fill the skies.

Together, all across this land
Patriots once again shall stand.
Arm-in-arm and hand-in hand,
It's liberty that we demand.

Our founding fathers, divinely led,
Established a nation with God at its head.
Patriots now arise once more,
No longer silent; just hear us roar.

Throughout our nation's history, great men and women
of honor have risen, in times of crisis, to ensure
the blessing of freedom, as endowed by our Creator.

Some are patriots of great renown that live forever
in the annals of history.  For each of these, there
are countless other nameless, faceless heroes
who have carried the torch of freedom in their time.

That torch has now been passed.  Is yours the hand
that will be raised to receive it?
