The Rainbow Of Promise

Noah preached the Word, Just like God had ask.
Preaching in Noah's day wasn't an easy task.
There were many wicked sinners, just like in our day,
they won't listen, they're going the wrong way.

While Noah was preaching, he built a big boat,
he was made fun of because there was no water to make it float.
It rained forty days and nights,
the dark murky waters reached their heights.

All the people drowned, but Noah and his family,
God had spared their lives it was plain to see.
There's more to this story than I have room to tell.
You can find it in your Bible, you can read it well.

I want to talk about the rainbow you've seen up in the sky,
when you saw it, did you ever wonder why.
God made a promise, "amen,"
that no flood would ever destroy all flesh again.

God said I will look upon the bow and remember what I said,
It had to greive His heart to see those people dead.
Noah's family replentished the earth again.
It didn't take long before they began to sin.

Have you had problems that you can't seem to solve,
others don't want to help, they don't want to get involved.
Do you see the rainbow shining in the sky,
it's somewhere up there, way up high.

God gives us a promise that He'll never leave or forsake us.
Put your hope in Him and your trust.
You have a promise from the faithful Holy one,
That's why God sent us, His only begotten Son.
