The Victor's Song

We've all heard about heaven,
And the streets of purest gold,
The gates are made of giant gemstones,
What beauty to behold!

Life on earth can be tedious,
There's a twist in every road...
But God, our Holy Father,
Welcomes us to His abode.

He sends a faithful angel,
To escort us to this new land,
And Jesus comes to greet us,
With His blessed nail-scarred hands.

He is the light of eternity,
All the angels sing His praise...
And welcomes all believers,
Into eternities sweet gaze.

There's no more sickness or sorrow,
No more death tolls will ring...
We are safe for all the tomorrows,
With the angels we all shall sing.

We will sing praised to our Savior,
We will sing loud and long,
Only through His death and resurrection,
Do we have the Victor's Song!

It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry.  I am a "Golden Ager" shut-in and writing keeps my mind busy with something I've done ever since I was a child, and it's my way of sharing our LORD with who ever comes to visit.  Thanks for reading my poetry - I'd love to hear your comments.  May God richly bless you.  Send emails to:   EvaYoung @ SkyWriting.Net
