Young boy and girl praying for our country in front of a American flag.

Timely Warning

"God looks down from Heaven,
searching among all mankind
to see if there is a single one
who does right and seeks God."
(Psalms 53:2 LB)

Our forefathers knew perilous times
Of spilt blood on the sod,
They battled to preserve the creed:
"One nation *under God*."

And since then many men have fought
On land and sky and sea,
Courageous, valiant heroes died
To keep this country free.

For freedom is a priceless thing,
A gift beyond compare ~
A privilege immeasurable,
Maintained by fervent prayer.

Americans, take heed
To what our forefathers held fast:
Unless our faith be firm in God
This nation shall not last.

"For the sin of my people
is greater than that of Sodom,
where utter disaster struck in a
moment without the hand of man."
(Lamentations 4:6, LB)
