A Trail That Will Lead Us Home

We still don't know when the words will come,
But we know they are sent from above;
They're meant to help sisters and brothers,
Not ours! They're God's words; filled with His love.

They come during the day or at night,
Mostly when they are least expected;
We might find it hard to understand,
Why we're the ones that God's selected.

Yes, Dear Lord, we must ask this question,
Why on that cross did You choose to die?
For those who are so undeserving,
You've blessed us to the point that we cry.

And no matter what others may think,
You and Your servants know what is true;
We'll continue to pass on Your words,
We will ever be faithful to You.

And yes, there are many of us,
We know we can't do this alone;
And we welcome the company,
On this trail that will lead us home.
