Trust

I said to Him, Lord, I place my trust in You. And He said to me, Take my hand, and you need never fear the darkness.
        Lord, I am a seeker.
I have studied Your word and
        accept Your promises as truth.
I find myself at a place in my life
where You are as real to me as the air I breathe.

I no longer wander in darkness for
I have found You in sunshine and in rain
and in every breeze that blows.
I have only to open my eyes and my heart
        to know You are there.

I see You in the eyes of those I meet each day.
I hope also, in time, to see You when I look in my mirror.
I pray for Your patience and understanding.
I have a long way to go,
but thankfully, I no longer travel alone.

I have learned that faith doesn t put an end to all sorrow.
It provides, instead, a shoulder to cry on
and hands that reach out to help carry the burden.
And although the pain can still be felt,
I know that it cannot consume me.

        I am grateful for blessings bestowed;
        I have not earned them.
Today, I can stand on the mountain top
and have no fear of the valley,
        for You are with me.

~ Linda Gleason ~

If you trust me, you are really trusting God. For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a Light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer wander in the darkness. John 12:44-46

Even though I cannot see You, I know You are there. I feel you. It came to me that You are, indeed as vital as air. Although air can be felt, it cannot be seen in ordinary circumstances; but if you pump it into a pliable container (such as a balloon), it rises to the occasion. Perhaps that is what You do with our hearts when we grant You control.
