When We Get There

We know heaven's streets
are made of pure gold.
When we get there,
We'll never grow old.

But before we go,
our faith will be tried.
Some will find out,
that satan has lied.

He played his old tricks
to make people stray.
When he thought he'd won,
they began to pray.

They sang and they praised,
they danced and they shouted.
It brought down the glory,
as God poured it out.

The meaning of the story,
we'll have to be on guard.
When satan comes a knocking,
he'll try to make it hard.

But Jesus will be with us,
He'll keep us free from sin.
When we get to heaven,
God will welcome us in.
