Words Fitly Spoken

"Words fitly spoken are like apples of gold in
settings of silver."   (Proverbs 25:11 NKJV)


Lord God I yearn with all my soul
To send words deeper than a river
That are wrapped in precious gold
Lovingly tied with bows of silver

They would tell you of my love
With thanks for all your gifts to me
From your heavenly treasure trove
That you share so willingly

With my thanks I hope to convey
My faith in all Your commands
And with trust I want to say
I accept being putty in Your hands

The beauty of Your creation
Made with wonder and grace
Compels me to bow in adoration
Praying one day to see Your face

Only in a realm so sweet
Made by God to house the soul
Could I find my joy complete
My pieces of dreams made whole.
