Quote: Walk a mile in my shoes, see what I see, feel what I feel, THEN maybe you'll understand
why I do what I do, 'till then don't judge me.

You Can't Get There From Here

This poem gives advice we should all follow.

The adage we have often heard
You can't get there from here
Usually, with humor it is said
Yet another meaning it may adhere

Your view of an issue, may puzzle me
From where I stand today
But if I had trod the path you have
I might see things another way

Since I don't know the facts as you
The least I can do, is speculate
From that, I have no right to judge
Just what position you should take

And so it seems, there is a chasm
Which neither you or I
May cross in each other's life
Although sincerely, we may try

Unless I go there, or you come here
Each other's burdens, we don't know
If we'll but apply, the Golden Rule
Perhaps compassion, we both can show.
