Connie Cook Portrait
Pencil Portrait by Karen Holliday
Now, in your eyes I may seem "blah"
I live in Rogers, "Arkansaw" ~
I've lots of cats and husband Guy,
and we're quite happy, he and I.

As for my age, or feminine wiles,
I will not lie, I've gone some miles;
And when I die, just write with flair
my lifetime theme:
'Done that, been there!'

I play the piano when I am sad,
when I am up, or down, or mad;
I love to write when I am bored,
but most of all, I love the Lord!

My heartfelt poems may not be grand,
but I hope you'll sense His hand;
He's why I write, as you will see,
and now you know the heart of me.
